Winter is comming and most favorite destination for many travellers are the province in the northern region of Thailand like Chaing Mai, Mae Hong Son and Chaing Rai for instance. But today i’m gonna tell you about my latest trip at Koh AngThong (AngThong Island) which must be one of your choice for winter vacation.
Koh AngThong situated near Koh Samui, one of the most favorite island in Thailand, covering with may minor islands like Koh Wau Ta Lab (major island of Koh Angthong)and Inner sea island as most travellers usually booked for one day trip to this island from Koh Samui as the price for one day trip may varied concerning on each of the travelling company (the price should not be higher than 1,200 baht per person).
My trip to this island started from Koh Samui as my vessel departed from Samui island around 8.30 and i arrived at Koh Wau Ta Lab around 10.30. At the main island, there’re 3 famous activities available for travellers. First one is rowing the kayak boat to see the beautiful seaside of this island, the second is snokeling to discover the gorgeous coral of Koh Angthong and the last activity which i have selected is cliaming the moutain to the view point of Koh Wau Ta Lab in order to see fantastic view point of this island. Generally, the distance to the viewpoint is only 500 meters (it sound easy Right) but it is really tought for all visitors.
Because of the hilly pathway to the summit point, the Angthong Nation Park has made the rope for travellers to cling along the way to the top of the viewpoint in order to avoid any dangerours that may occured and the rope make me feel safe when claiming this steeping mountain.
Before reaching to the peak of Koh Angthong, there’re 4 monor viewpoint for you to take a little break and take some images of the beautiful scenery but the hardest point that most travllers give up is 20 meters before reaching to viewpoint of Koh Wau Ta Lab because at this point the way to the top is very tough more than any point that you already passed and covering with shape stone.
Like other travellers, at first, i plan to give up but my girlfriend told me that we almost reach the summit point, then, we shouldn’t give up. I trusted my girlfriend and continue claiming to the peak of this island as the approximate time from the beach to this point is around 1 hour. The scenery from the top of Koh Angthong is gorgeous and it make me feel really relax and happy. Let see the images of the peak of Koh Angthong below.
